ഒരു മരണപ്പാച്ചില്‍

സ്പീഡോമീട്ടരിന്റെ സൂചി ഇല്‍ നില്ക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോളാണ് സ്പീഡ് ഓവറാണോ എന്നൊരു സംശയം തോന്നിയത്.. മരങ്ങളൊക്കെ എന്നെ കടന്നു പോകാന്‍ മത്സരിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ.. മനസിനെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചുവിട്ട് യാതൊന്നിനെയും പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കാതെ ചാറ്റല്‍ മഴയില്‍ നിലം തൊടാതെ പറക്കാന്‍ ഇന്നും നല്ല രസം. അരയില്‍ അവളുടെ കൈകള്‍ പിടുത്തം മുറുക്കിയപ്പോള്‍ ഒരു നിമിഷം ഒന്നു തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി. പാണ്ടി ലോറിയുടെ അലറുന്ന ഹോണ്‍ കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ വെട്ടിതിരിഞ്ഞ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടത് ചില്ല് പൊട്ടിയ ഒരു ഹെഡ് ലൈറ്റ്‌ മാത്രമാണ്..

"അയ്യോ.." ചാടി എണീറ്റപ്പോള്‍ തല കട്ടിലില്‍ ഇടിച്ചു.

8 മണിക്ക് വച്ച അലാറം 9 മണിയായിട്ടും അടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു..

പല്ലു തേക്കണമല്ലോ എന്നാലോചിച്ചപ്പോളാണ് ഫസ്റ്റ് അവര്‍ ആണല്ലോ എന്ന് ഓര്‍ത്തത്..

"പഹയന്‍... താമസിച്ചാല്‍ ഇന്നും ഗെറ്റ് ഔട്ട് തന്നെ.. "

ലോറി കയറിയ പേസ്റിനെ ഞെക്കുമ്പോള്‍ രണ്ട് ദിവസം കൂടി നില്ക്കും എന്ന് ഇന്നലെ പറഞ്ഞതു തെറ്റാത്താതിനു ദൈവത്തിനു നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടാണ് ബീഡിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ബോക്സില്‍ കൈ ഇട്ടത്..

" പള്ളീ .. ചതിച്ചു.. "

ആ മയിരന്‍ രാവിലെ എന്‍റെ ബീഡികൊണ്ടു കാര്യം സാധിച്ചു..

ബീഡി ഇല്ലാ.. അപ്പൊ പിന്നെ മറ്റവനും തത്കാലം സ്റ്റേ..

പല്ലു തേക്കലും തുണി മാറലും എല്ലാം ഒരുമിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു .. ബക്കറ്റില്‍ വെള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് ഭാഗ്യം.. ഇല്ലെങ്കില്‍ പേസ്റ്റ് തിന്നേണ്ടി വന്നേനെ..

"മെസ്സില്‍ ഇന്നെന്താണാവോ ?"

രാവിലെ ആ വര്‍ഗീസിന്‍റെ മോന്ത കൂടി കണ്ടാല്‍ ഇന്നത്തേക്ക് ഉള്ളതായി..

മെസ്സിലേക്ക് ഓടുന്നതിനിടയില്‍ പെട്ടന്നാണ് ഓര്‍ത്തത്‌..

" ഈ ഷര്‍ട്ട്‌ മിനിയാന്ന് കളി കഴിഞ്ഞു അളക്കാന്‍ മാറ്റി വച്ചതാണല്ലോ.. മയിര്.. സ്പ്രേയും തീര്‍ന്നു.."

സാരമില്ല.. പോട്ടെ..

മെസ്സില്‍ എത്തുന്നതിനു മുമ്പെ തന്നെ ആ വൃത്തികെട്ട മണം മൂക്കില്‍ അടിച്ച് കയറി.. ഞാന്‍ ഭയപ്പെട്ടത് തെന്നെ സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു..

" ദൈവമേ.. ഇന്നും ഉപ്പുമാവ്.."

"അല്ലെങ്കിലും ഇതൊക്കെ ഇങ്ങിനയെ വരൂ.. കലികാലമല്ലേ കലികാലം.. "

തിന്നാല്‍ ബീഡി പോലും വേണ്ടി വരില്ല.. സ്റ്റേ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെ പെട്ടന്ന് പോയികിട്ടും..

കയ്യില്‍ കിട്ടിയ പഴവും പറിച്ചു ടാപ്പില്‍ നിന്ന് തലമുടിയും നനച്ച് ഓടി ഗ്രൗണ്ടില്‍ കയറിയപ്പോലാണ് ഓര്‍ത്തത്‌..

" പേന എടുത്തില്ല.. "

"ആ.. ആരെയെങ്കിലും വെല്‍ഡ് ചെയ്യാം.."

അല്ലെങ്കിലും ആവശ്യമുള്ളപ്പോള്‍ ഈ മക്കളെ ഒന്നും ഇവിടെ കാണില്ല..
